Bucs' Donald Penn: 'We're a better team' than the Falcons

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Donald Penn said that the Bucs are a better team than the Falcons after the Bucs lost on Sunday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Donald Penn was frustrated after the Buccaneers lost to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. So frustrated, that he may have given the Falcons some locker room material by saying that they are a better team than the Falcons:

"I know we outplayed them," Tampa Bay offensive tackle Donald Penn told the media Sunday after the Falcons defeated the Buccaneers 24-23. "We're a better team than them -- it didn't show. They made one or two more plays, and that made the difference.''

While his words appear to be belittling, the Buccaneers did squander away a few opportunities late in the game that may have tipped the game in their favor. While the Buccaneers appear to be frustrated with their loss, they are still 6-5 and well in the hunt for one of the NFC's wild card spots. It's a much better position than the one they were in at this time last season, where they were in the middle of what would be a 10-game losing streak to end the season.

The Buccaneers next play next Sunday against the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver. The game is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. and the game will be televised on Fox.
