The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing this week for "the best defense" they'll play this year, according to Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times.

The Buccaneers travel to play the Denver Broncos and one the top defenses in the NFL on Sunday:

"They're an excellent, excellent defensive football team; that's not an exaggeration," Bucs offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan said. "It's the best defense we've played all year."

The Broncos' defense is highlighted by second-year linebacker Von Miller. The second overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft has 39 tackles and 14 sacks in 11 games this season. He's also forced four fumbles.

Veteran defensive end Elvis Dumervil has also gotten to the quarterback this season, tallying eight sacks. He also has 26 tackles and six forced fumbles.

The Broncos' defense is allowing 20 points per game, which is eighth in the NFL. The team's ranks for passing yards allowed and rushing yards allowed are also top 10 in the league.

The Bucs and Broncos play Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET. Tampa Bay enters the game with a 6-5 record, while the Broncos are 8-3.
