NFL Mock Draft 2012: Will Jaguars Surround Blaine Gabbert With Talent?

The guys over at the Sporting News have come out with a new version of a 2012 NFL Mock Draft, and they are in line with some picks that we have seen around the Internet for a while now. It starts with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 5, and they have them taking LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne.

New coach Greg Schiano is regarded as a disciplinarian, which could spell the end for cornerback Aqib Talib. Claiborne would give him an elite athlete to replace Talib or to replace Ronde Barber, 36, in a season or two if they keep Talib.

Next up are the Jaguars, who are looking to surround new quarterback Blaine Gabbert with some talent. They have the Jags taking Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd.

If young QB Blaine Gabbert is going to develop, the Jaguars must find talented receivers for his targets. Floyd is strong, runs sharp routes and has the great ball skills to be a No. 1 wideout.

Finally the Dolphins, who take Stanford tackle Jonathan Martin.

We believe the Dolphins are the front-runners to sign QB Matt Flynn as a free agent, and they will want to upgrade their pass protection for their new prize. So they grab Martin to replace right tackle Marc Colombo.
