NFL Mock Draft 2012: Florida Teams Following Popular Trends

We're still in the middle of the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, but a lot has changed already based on what we've seen. SB Nation has come out with a new 2012 NFL Mock Draft that reflects some of those changes, but the Florida teams still have the picks that have become very popular across the Mocks on the Internet. it starts with Tampa Bay taking Morris Claiborne at No. 5.

Talk about a pick that could change drastically between now and late April. Aqib Talib faces a March trial for an assault charge, while Ronde Barber is pondering his football future. Given two big question marks, even if one is not available next year, this moves from moderate need to desperate need.

Up next the Jaguars who take North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples to help aide their pass rush.

The Jags struggled to generate much of a pass rush and their defense suffered accordingly. The Jaguars have some serious offensive skill position issues as well, but they would be reaching for a receiver at this point. Coples would make for a strong bookend to Jeremy Mincey if the Jaguars can re-sign him. If Mincey does not return, it makes Coples all the more important.

Finally the Dolphins who add to their offensive line with Iowa tackle Riley Reiff.

The Dolphins will need to find an able replacement for Marc Colombo to protect their QB (whomever that might be) following a season in which they finished 30th in Football Outsiders' Adjusted Sack Rate. Jonathan Martin could still work his way up draft boards, but for now Reiff is the answer to their right tackle needs. Teams do not often invest a high pick in a right tackle, but bookending him with Jake Long could set the Dolphins OTs up for the next several years.
