The trial of Aqib Talib has been moved back about a month because the wife of the prosecuting attorney is expecting a child within the next few days, but that is not even the most interesting wrinkle in the trial. The man who has accused Talib of shooting at and pistol whipping him has since been arrested twice, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
The man who accused Bucs cornerback Aqib Talib of pistol whipping and firing bullets at him last March has twice been arrested for sexual assault in Texas since that shooting incident.
Shannon Billings, 41, the former live-in boyfriend of Talib’s sister, is sitting in Dallas County jail on a bond of $265,000 after being arrested March 1, 2012 on charges of indecency with a child/sexual contact.
That has to severely reduce the accuser's credibility, whether rightfully so or not. This will certainly complicate things in the eyes of the jury.
