2012 NFL Mock Draft: Morris Claiborne Still Penciled In For Buccaneers

The fellas over at SB Nation have come out with the latest edition of their 2012 NFL mock draft, and it has picks for the Buccaneers and the Jaguars that have become commonplace. It also has a pick for the Dolphins which might start to become pretty popular as well. But we start with Tampa Bay, and LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne at No. 5

Ronde Barber is postponing Social Security checks to play another year. Aqib Talib somehow found a very large hole in the judicial system, allowing him to return this season, maybe. Having Claiborne ready to fill the void for either one of those players make Tampa's secondary that much better.

Next up is the Jaguars, who are projected to take North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples at No. 7.

For all the talk about the quarterbacks this year, it is worth remembering that pass rushers are at a premium. Jacksonville should experience some immediate dividends by drafting Coples, the top pass rusher in the draft, and putting him on the other side of the recently re-signed Jeremy Mincey.

Finally the Dolphins. Miami missed out on all of the big name available quarterbacks this offseason, so they might need to take a quarterback in the first round of the draft. That could mean Ryan Tannehill of Texas A&M will be taking his talents to South Beach with the ninth overall pick.

Greg Cosell recently gave the Aggies' quarterback his seal of approval, calling him a "better prospect than [Christian] Ponder." With the veteran David Garrard and Matt Moore on staff already, Miami is in a good position to let Tannehill soak up the pro game without feeding him to the sharks right off the bat.
