2012 NFL Draft: Brock Osweiler To Visit With Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins missed out on all of their opportunities to get a quarterback of the future during this offseason, whether it be trading up into the top two picks in the draft, signing Peyton Manning or even settling for someone like Matt Flynn or Alex Smith. They did sign David Garrard, but they still lack that young player to develop, which means they could be looking for help at that position in the draft. We've heard a lot of talk about Ryan Tannehill in the first round, but it looks like they'll be considering later round prospects as well, and will meet with Brock Osweiler in Miami according to the man himself.

Osweiler is the mammoth quarterback of Arizona State who has only started for a little bit over a year in his Sun Devil career. He stands 6 foot 7 and has a very strong arm, but he isn't ready to start in the NFL yet. He could sit for a few years and learn behind the placeholders the Dolphins have added at quarterback, and could turn out to be that young player the Dolphins have been waiting for at quarterback.
