NFL Mock Draft 2012: Bucs Get Morris Claiborne In Don Banks Latest Mock

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a team that most feel can go one of two ways in the 2012 NFL Draft. Most experts tend to believe the Bucs will pick either Alabama running back Trent Richardson or LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne with the No. 5 overall pick. In his latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft, Don Banks of Sports Illustrated gives the Bucs a cornerback.

5 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

Ronde Barber sounds a little re-invigorated by the opportunity to play for an all-business head coach like Greg Schiano. But that doesn't mean Barber can play forever. Tampa Bay still could use a young cornerback to carry the torch and Claiborne more than fits the bill.

The Bucs have one of Claiborne's old coaches on their roster so they should know plenty about him. In Banks' mock, Richardson went off the board to the Cleveland Browns, so the pick of Claiborne makes perfect sense in preparation for when Ronde Barber retires and if Aqib Talib finds himself in legal trouble again.
