2012 NFL Draft: Jaguars Say Miami Dolphins Will Draft Ryan Tannehill

The Miami Dolphins will, as many have guessed, select former Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the No. 8 overall pick in the NFL Draft -- at least according to the team's neighbor to the north, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaking with Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union on 930 AM in Jacksonville, the Jaguars' director of player personnel Terry McDonough claimed that the Dolphins are going to select Tannehill.

"People know Miami’s going to take [Tannehill]," he said. "If a team wants a quarterback they’re going to have to come in front of Miami."

And who's in front of Miami? That'd be the Jaguars, who currently hold the No. 7 overall pick and are reportedly interested in trading down -- something that they have had trouble doing as of late.

So is McDonough serious? Or is he simply looking to create some interest in the team's top-10 pick? We'll find out Thursday.
