2012 NFL Mock Draft: Seven Round Mock Reflects Popular Picks For Florida Teams

The 2012 NFL Draft starts on Thursday night, and once the names start being called, all hell will break loose. But until then, we can still pretend like we know what is going to happen. Chad Reuter of NFL.com put together a seven round Mock Draft reflecting every pick that will be made, and it has some picks for Florida teams which have become very popular. Here are the first two picks he has slated for each Florida team.

The Buccaneers have the highest pick of all the Florida teams, and Reuter has them adding to their defensive secondary with LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne with their first round pick. Claiborne is a perfect fit for the Bucs, should he last that long on the board. He has the Buccaneers then taking running back Doug Martin from Boise St. in the second round. That pick makes sense considering there are many people who think that the Bucs would consider Trent Richardson in the first round if he is still on the board.

Reuter has the Jaguars adding one of the Draft's lat risers with their first round pick in the form of South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore has climbed up the board recently with a strong combine performance and Pro Day. He then has them adding to the defensive line in the second round with DeVon Still, who was a borderline first round pick for a lot of this process.

The Dolphins pick No. 8 overall, and Reuter has them taking the hot name in this process, Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill. We all know why this pick makes sense, and if a trade doesn't happen with a team jumping ahead of them, it seems inevitable. He then has the Dolphins adding a piece along the offensive line in Clemson DE Andre Branch in the second round. That pick also makes sense because the Dolphins need new personnel for their transformed defensive front.
