2012 NFL Mock Draft: Morris Claiborne The Consensus Pick For Buccaneers?

While we already know who will go first and second overall in Thursday night's first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, there is still plenty of speculation in the top five. The Buccaneers currently hold the fifth pick and many have presumed they would land LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne, the top cover corner prospect in the draft that would fill a need for Tampa Bay.

All six mock draft experts at CBSSports.com project the Bucs drafting Claiborne at No.5. In fact, they all have the top five playing out exactly the same way with Matt Kalil going to Minnesota at No. 3 and Trent Richardson landing in Cleveland at No. 4. Here's what one of their six mock drafters, Pat Kirwan, had to say about the Claiborne pick:

Unless Tampa jumps up to Minnesota's spot they will miss out on Richardson. The Bucs will think long and hard about Claiborne at this spot, but teaming him up with Eric Wright gives them a solid tandem.

We're only hours away at this point, and new coach Greg Schiano will have his first draft pick in the fold Thursday night.
