The saga of Ryan Tannehill has been one of the hot stories in the run up to the 2012 NFL Draft, which will get underway on Thursday night at New York's Radio City Music Hall. Tannehill has been projected all over the board in the first round, rising up as high as No. 3 overall behind fellow quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. He had an impressive workout at Texas A&M, which had mock draft experts raving about his pro potential. With his rise up the mock draft boards, the Browns and Dolphins were pegged as the likeliest landing spots.
And CBSSports.com seems to agree, with all six of their mock drafters projecting Tannehill to go to Miami at No. 8. If this scenario plays out, it would reunite the Aggie quarterback with his former coach in College Station, Mike Sherman, who is now the offensive coordinator for the Dolphins. Pete Prisco expects a few teams, specifically Seattle, may try to move up ahead of Miami to take Tannehill but he thinks those trades won't materialize and he will land in South Beach.
