NFL Draft Results 2012: Mark Barron Selected By Tampa Bay Buccaneers With No. 7 Overall Pick

With the No. 7 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected Mark Barron, a safety from the Alabama Crimson Tide. These NFL Draft 2012 results bear out the projection for Barron, who was seen as the top safety in this year's class of draftees.

Barron has great hands and is seen as a comprehensive all-around player. He's spent three years as a starter on the best defense in the nation. He nabbed 12 interceptions in his collegiate career, including seven in 2011 alone.

The Buccaneers' next pick is the 36th overall pick in the second round.
