2012 NFL Draft Grades: Buccaneers Get A 'B' For Two First Round Picks

The Buccaneers made two trades in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, first trading back a couple of spots to take Mark Barron then coming back into the tail end of the first round to take running back Doug Martin. The guys at SB Nation came out with their NFL Draft Grades, and they seem to enjoy the picks the Bucs made giving them a a solid "B" for their selections.

Mark Barron was flying up draft boards before the draft so the Bucs had to take him at No. 7 to make sure they got who they wanted. Trading back caused them to miss out on Morris Claiborne, but the extra picks plus Barron make the move worth it. It also allowed them to move back into the first round for Doug Martin.

The Buccaneers chose two prospects who could come in and start immediately, and Doug Martin has flown a little bit under the radar because he plays at Boise St. Barron is the best safety in this class and the Bucs needed help at that position.
