2012 NFL Mock Draft: Jaguars Opt For Michael Floyd

The Jacksonville Jaguars are in one of the more interesting and potentially powerful spots in the 2012 NFL Draft. With the seventh pick, they have a number of options at their disposal, as well as an enticing place for teams looking to trade up in the first round.

Of course, predicting trades is even harder than predicting which players will get drafted by teams. The latest mock draft at SB Nation leaves out the trade projections and foresees the Jags taking Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd.

For a receiver class that people can't seem to stop bitching about, it seems odd to have two in the top 10. Floyd may not have the ceiling of the top two receivers taken last year, but he is big and catches the ball well. Blaine Gabbert needs a player like this in the offense with him.

If a trade is not in the cards, finding another pass rusher to bookend with Jeremy Mincey is another option some are holding forth for the Jags.
