Buccaneers Bring Back Cornerback Brandon McDonald

Even though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers open the season in just a few days against the Carolina Panthers, they decided to make a roster move on Wednesday as they went out and brought back cornerback Brandon McDonald. McDonald was signed in August, but was let go when the team decided to bring in running back D.J. Ware this past weekend.

McDonald played 13 games for the Detroit Lions last season, and prior to that he was with the Cleveland Browns for a few seasons. To make room for McDonald on the roster the Bucs had to let go of offensive lineman Derek Hardman.

The Bucs also signed guard Julian Vandervelde to the practice squad, and let wide receiver Bert Reed was dropped from the practice squad to make room for Vandervelde.
