Boston, MA (Sports Network) – David Krejci notched two goals and one assist as Boston routed Tampa Bay, 8-1, at TD Garden.

Michael Ryder had a goal and two helpers, while Milan Lucic and Mark Recchi added a goal and assist apiece for the Bruins, who set a season-high for goals in one game with their second straight win and third in five.

Dennis Seidenberg, Shawn Thornton and Blake Wheeler also tallied for Boston, which celebrated the season-debut of Marc Savard from post-concussion syndrome. Savard did not record a point in almost 16 minutes of ice time.

Tim Thomas was strong through the first two periods in what was a relatively close game, ending up with 37 stops in all. He also added his second assist of the season on Thornton’s tally.

Victor Hedman provided the lone offense for the Lightning, who slid to their third loss in four.

Starter Mike Smith was yanked after giving up five goals on 22 shots through 40-plus minutes. Dan Ellis finished the game by yielding three goals on 10 shots.
