Paajarvi Nets Hat Trick As Oilers Beat Lightning 5-2

Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Magnus Paajarvi recorded a hat trick to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 5-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in a preseason contest at Rexall Place.

2010 top overall draft pick Taylor Hall scored his first professional goal while Andrew Cogliano also lit the lamp for the Oilers.

Edmonton goaltender Devan Dubnyk got the start and he allowed one goal on 20 shots. Jeff Deslauriers came in midway through regulation and finished with seven saves.

Randy Jones and Carter Ashton scored for the Lightning.

Dan Ellis allowed all five goals on 21 shots in the losing effort.
