Lightning Lose to Calgary in Shootout

Final Score: Calgary 5, Tampa Bay 4 (SO)

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Ales Kotalik was the only successful skater in the shootout, lifting Calgary to a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay in preseason play.

Kotalik added a goal and two assists in regulation for the Flames, who received a pair of power-play goals from TJ Brodie and an even-strength goal from Craig Conroy.

Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff yielded two goals on 15 shots through two periods, and Matt Keetley surrendered two on 12 shots in relief.

Vincent Lecavalier scored twice, and Simon Gagne and Steven Stamkos once apiece for the Lightning, the latter tying the game with 1:12 left in regulation

Cedrick Desjardins surrendered four goals on 23 shots against in the loss.
