Zamboni Parade

The Tampa Bay Lightning held a parade through the streets of Tampa today to showcase the team’s two new Zambonis. The machines, purchased over the summer as part of the team’s facility upgrades project, ran through parts of downtown as well as the Channelside District.

The caravan began at 11:45 a.m. from the St. Pete Times Forum compound and went from Brorein Street to Morgan before heading down Kennedy Boulevard. From there, the parade traveled through Jackson Street before looping around back to Morgan until its conclusion on Channelside Drive.

Thunderbug and the Lightning Girls made appearances as well as the Lightning’s mobile marketing unit, Rolling Thunder. Music, noise-makers, a t-shirt launch, prizes and giveaways were available for all fans to enjoy.
