The Tampa Bay Lightning climbed back above the .500 mark on Saturday night with a 1-0 shutout win over the Winnipeg Jets. Dwayne Roloson was outstanding in net, saving all 28 shots fired his way on the evening. Vincent Lecavalie scored his fifth goal of the season early on in the second period, and the defense and Roloson took care of it from there.
The Lightning were coming off a 5-3 road loss to the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. In that contest, Mathieu Garon allowed five goals while registering just 12 saves before being pulled from the game in favor of Roloson.He proceeded to stop the bleeding Thursday night, which earned him his first start on Saturday since October 17th. He more than took advantage of the opportunity, winning his first game in net since October 7th, Tampa Bay's season opener.
The Lightning return to action on Tuesday night in Carolina when they take on the Hurricanes (4-4-3).
