With the NHL season opening this upcoming weekend, the Tampa Bay Lightning have finally narrowed down and selected their final 23-man roster. They solved some problems by placing Mattias Ohlund on the Injured Reserve and by assigning Dana Tyrell to Norfolk, leaving them with 14 forwards, 8 defense men, and 2 goalies on their roster.
In a bit of a surprise, top 2010 draft pick Brett Connolly made the opening day roster. Raw Charge expects him to be in the third line for the Bolts along with Dominic Moore and Ryan Shannon, although he might get sent back to Norfolk once Ohlund returns from the injured reserve. Only time will tell, as Connolly could force his way onto the roster for a more extended period of time.
