The schedule for the first round of the NHL playoffs was released Sunday night, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are scheduled to begin their hunt for the Stanley Cup on Wednesday, April 13th. Five games have been scheduled for Wednesday night, with the remaining three playoff series opening on Thursday night.
The Lightning will be opening against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the number four seed in the Eastern Conference. While the Penguins will have overall home ice advantage, since they are the higher seed, games three, four, and five will be played at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.
