During Sunday night's game against the Blackhawks, Bolts fans had a bit of a scare when team captain Vinny Lecavalier left the game after taking a stick blade to the eye. After having his eye examined on Monday, though, it appears as though everyone can breath easy: according to a team press release, there's been no structural damage to Lecavalier's eye and he's listed as day-to-day.
↵Lecavalier suffered a scratch and contusion on his cornea, but apparently the injury is not bad enough to keep him off the ice. Yesterday Lecavalier claimed his eye was still in some pain and made his vision blurry, but he also didn't rule out playing in tonight's game against Buffalo if his eye improves overnight. Vinny also checked in on Twitter, letting his fans all know he as okay:
↵↵↵Good news, no structural damage. I am very lucky, could of been alot worse. Feels a bit better today. Day to day.

Never one to wear a visor, Lecavalier will likely wear one for the remainder of the season in order to protect his eye.
