The Eastern Conference Finals matchup has been set for a while now with the Lightning and the Bruins, but we are still waiting for the Western Conference series to wrap up before the third round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs can begin. The NHL Playoff Schedule for the Conference Finals has not been released yet, but it is starting to get a lot closer.
At least one of the series that the Lightning were waiting on has come to an end, as the Vancouver Canucks advanced to the Western Conference Finals with a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Monday. The other series is not quite over, and the Red Wings will take on the Sharks in Game 6 with elimination on the line on Tuesday. If the Red Wings win again on Tuesday and force a Game 7, it will only extend the wait that the Lightning and the Bruins are currently going through. If necessary, that game would be on Thursday.
The series will begin in Boston, because the Bruins have home-ice advantage. If the Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat on Wednesday to extend their NBA Playoff series, they will play Game 6 on Friday in Boston, so the Lightning series probably won't be able to start until after that at the earliest.
The Lightning will put single game tickets for this round of the Playoffs on sale on Friday, and you can find more information about where you can get them here.
