The Tampa Bay Lightning's first line is where you will find their biggest stars. And if they aren't on that line, you'll find them on the second line. But it has actually been the third line that has made among the biggest impact so far in their trip through the Playoffs, according to Keith Allen of USA Today.
↵Sean Bergenheim, Dominic Moore, and Steve Downie have been (ahem) lightning in a bottle so far this Postseason. Bergenheim even leads the team with seven goals so far.
↵↵↵"The minutes they're giving us (are) dominating minutes," Tampa Bay standout Martin St. Louis said. "It's deflating to a team, (because) they feel they're getting beat by the third line."
↵
Make no mistake, the big stars, St. Louis, Steven Stamkos and Vincent Lecavalier have also left their mark on the two series that the Lightning have won. But it is their depth behind those big names that is what has made them such a dangerous team so far in the postseason.
