NHL Playoff Schedule: 'Disney On Ice' Rescheduled To Accommodate Lightning

When the schedule for the Eastern Conference Finals was announced a few days ago, astute Lightning fans were quick to notice that some of the dates conflicted with on-going events at the St. Pete Times Forum. Specifically, Disney On Ice was supposed to be performing “Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3” next week, and the dates of three of their performances overlapped directly with Lightning home games in the ECF.

In case you were worried that the Lightning and Bruins might be preempted for Woody and Buzz Lightyear, fear no more. From Raw Charge:

The performances originally scheduled for Thursday, May 19th (7:00 PM), Friday, May 20th (7:00 PM) and Saturday, May 21st (11:00 AM, 3:00 PM & 7:00 PM) have been cancelled. Refunds will be given for those performances. Ticketholders interested in attending another performance will need to buy new tickets.

The new opening night will be on Wednesday, May 18th at 7:00 PM. Tickets for that show will go on sale Monday, May 16th at 10:00 AM.

The Lightning and Bruins will play the ECF as scheduled, with games three, four, and six scheduled to be played in Tampa. For more news and analysis on this upcoming playoff battle, check back here or follow SB Nation Tampa Bay on either Twitter or Facebook.
