The Tampa Bay Lightning will face the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Finals after the Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-1 in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Milan Lucic had two goals to lead the Bruins tonight, while Johnny Boychuk, Brad Marchand, and Daniel Paille each chipped in a goal. Kris Versteeg was the only Flyer to beat Tim Thomas who had 22 saves on the night.
The Bruins have some injury concerns heading into the series with the Lightning. D Adam McQuaid has been out of the lineup since the middle of Game 2 with a sprained neck. McQuaid missed a check on Mike Richards and went head first into the boards. C Patrice Bergeron left in the 3rd period of tonight’s game after a head-to-head hit with Claude Giroux and never returned. Bergeron has a history of concussion problems, and the Bruins medical staff will be monitoring the situation.
