Tampa Bay Lightning Announce 2012 Preseason Schedule

he Tampa Bay Lightning, fresh off the first playoff appearance in four seasons have released their 2011-2012 preseason schedule. It will be a busy off season for the Bolts as they undergo major changes both on and off the ice. The front office is tasked with resigning key pieces like Steven Stamkos, Eric Brewer, Dwayne Roloson, and bolstering a roster that fell one game short of the Stanley Cup Finals. Meanwhile, off the ice the St. Petersburg Times Forum will be undergoing some major renovations that the team hopes to have completed before the start of the regular season.

Likely to accommodate the renovation schedule at the Trop, the preseason schedule includes only one home game for the Bolts, on September 23rd against the Florida Panthers. The venue for the game against the Blues on September 21st is still undecided as it was originally scheduled to be played in Winnipeg prior to the Atlanta Thrashers franchise move to Canada.
