Islanders Vs. Lightning Preview: Tampa Bay Looks For Back-To-Back Wins

The Tampa Bay Lightning face the New York Islanders tonight.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will try to win back-to-back games for the first time since the team's four-game winning streak ended on March 6 when they host the New York Islanders tonight at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The game features two of the Eastern Conference's bottom-feeders -- only the Montreal Canadiens have less points in the conference than Tampa Bay and New York.

This will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the Lightning and Islanders. New York has won two of the first three meetings. The Lightning lost 5-1 to New York on Oct. 13, won 4-1 on Oct. 20, and lost 5-1 on Dec. 6.

Lightning star Steven Stamkos will try to get back on the score sheet after failing to record a point in his last four games. Stamkos leads the NHL in goals with 50.

Game date/time: Saturday, March 24, 7:00 p.m. ET

Location: Tampa Bay Times Forum, Tampa, Florida

TV: SUN(HD)
