Lightning Vs. Jets Final Score: Lightning Win Season Finale 4-3 In Overtime

Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos tallied his 60th goal of the season and Teddy Purcell scored the overtime winner to complete a hat trick as the Lightning ended their season with a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre.

Stamkos scored his goal at the 3:29 mark of the third period. The Winnipeg fans, who booed Stamkos for the majority of the night, gave the Lightning star a standing ovation in honor of his rare achievement. Stamkos became only the second player in the post-lockout NHL to reach 60 goals in a season, joining Alex Ovechkin's 65-goal season in 2007-08.

Purcell scored the winner just 1:08 into overtime when he took a pass from teammate Victor Hedman and slipped a shot over Ondrej Pavelec's glove. The game was sent into overtime when Jets forward Jim Slater scored his second goal of the night with just 53 seconds left in the third period.

This marked the end of a disappointing season for both clubs, as Tampa Bay finished with a record of 38-36-8 (with 84 points) while the Jets went 37-35-10 (also with 84 points).
