Orioles vs. Rays preview: Game time, tv schedule and more

The Tampa Bay Rays meet the Baltimore Orioles in the final series of the regular season as the two teams battle for a Wild Card spot.

Bob DeChiara-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Tampa Bay Rays are just one game out of an American League Wild Card spot going into their series against the Baltimore Orioles in the final games of the regular season. What makes these next three games between the two teams even more interesting than they already would be is that Baltimore is the team Tampa is chasing.

A series sweep could totally change the complexity of the AL playoff scenarios. The Rays are going to send Alex Cobb (10-9, 4.18 ERA) to the mound to start this series Monday, while the Orioles start Wei-Yin Chen (12-10 , 4.11 ERA).

The Rays are coming off winning three of four games in a series against the Chicago White Sox. The Orioles are winners of four straight after sweeping a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox and taking down the Toronto Blue Jays before that.

Monday's game will be shown on SUN at 7:10p.m. ET.
