Going into the bottom of the 9th inning, the game remains tied 1-1. However, the pitching has not been particularly dominate (a combined 11 strikeouts for the pitchers of both teams), but good enough to keep both offenses — featuring largely minor leaguers at this point — from pulling ahead.
