When the Tampa Bay Rays selected centerfielder Mikie Mahtook in the first round of this year's MLB Draft, it was an exciting moment for all involved. Mahtook is a phenomenal player that hit .383 with 14 homers and 29 stolen bases during his senior year at LSU, and from all reports, he's a very well-rounded athlete. He has the potential to move through the minor leagues relatively quickly, and the Rays are sending him to the AFL this upcoming offseason to make his pro debut.
↵But there's one thing all the scouting reports on Mahtook missed: the dude's scrap and grit ratings are through the roof. I don't think I've ever seen another player so constantly amped up and emotional:

↵Look familiar to you at all? I'm wondering if Mahtook is going to evolve into the Rays' next version of Gomes Rage.
