Jeremy Hellickson Injury: Rays Pitcher Cleared To Start

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson was hit in the head with a homerun ball on Wednesday and was immediately taken to the hospital for tests. Hellickson was deemed "OK" after the visit to the hospital and has been cleared to make Saturday's start according to Marc Topkin.

Starter Jeremy Hellickson passed another concussion-related test and was cleared to start Saturday's game.

There was a small worry that Hellickson could have suffered a concussion, but the fact that he did not lose conciousness when he was struck in the head was a good sign. He's all set to make his start against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.
