The Tampa Bay Rays picked up a win over the Angels Thursday afternoon and currently hold a 2-1 lead in the middle of the fifth inning, as Jeremy Hellickson worked through giving up five hits through five innings to help hold the lead.
In the third inning, Ben Zobrist put a run on the scoreboard hitting a homerun off C.J. Wilson to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. Jeff Keppinger followed that up with a double in the third inning to plate Carlos Pena, pushing the Rays lead to 2-0. The Angels were able to cut into that lead in the fourth inning with a Vernon Wells solo shot.
