Mariners Vs. Rays Final Score: Luke Scott Home Run Puts Rays Up 5-4 For The Win

The Tampa Bay Rays went down to the Seattle Mariners early when James Shields gave up a first inning three-run home run, but the Rays were able to battle back for a 5-4 win. A Sean Rodriguez two-run home run in the third inning cut the Mariners lead to just one run, but in the fourth inning a Jose Molina double plated two runs to give the Rays the 4-3 lead.

Kyler Seager, who blasted the home run in the first inning, went yard again in the sixth inning to tie the game at 4-4. Unfortunately for the Mariners however, designated hitter Luke Scott hit a home run of his own to give the Rays back the lead at 5-4, which wound up being enough for the Rays to hold on for the win as Joel Peralta picks up the save.
