Rays Vs. Phillies Final Score: Tampa Wins 1st Game Of Doubleheader, 3-2

The Rays came away with a 3-2 victory against the Phillies on Sunday afternoon in the first game of the day's doubleheader between theses interleague opponents.

Tampa and Philly went scoreless through the first five innings of this game, but in the sixth, Jimmy Rollins hit a solo blast to left field to give the Phillies a 1-0 lead

Carlos Pena responded with a three-run shot to right, his ninth home run of the season. The Phillies rallied in the eighth inning with an RBI single by Ty Wigginton, but it wasn't enough to threaten Tampa's lead set by Pena's home run.

The second game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. EST.
