Rays Vs. Royals: Tampa Bay Seeking Offense As They Try To Prevent A Sweep

Two games, two lop-sided losses for the Tampa Bay Rays. If the Rays are going to salvage at least one game in their series against the Kansas City Royals, they will need to find some offense after scoring a total of two runs in their last two games.

Tampa's offensive struggles arrived just as the Royals hit their stride. Kansas City scored eight runs in both games of the series. All but one Royals starter has recorded a hit in this series.

Matt Moore gets the ball for the Rays, looking to even his own record with a fifth win. the young left-hander has pitched well recently, wining three of his last four starts and allowing just seven earned runs over that same stretch.

Kansas City has Everett Teaford on the bump for what will be his second start and fourth appearance of the season. Teaford has a 5.73 ERA, seven walks and four strike outs in 11 innings of work this season.

The game starts at 2:10 p.m. Eastern. Fans can catch the game on the Sun Sports Network.
