The Tampa Bay Rays are inching closer to the .500 mark after dropping consecutive games to the Seattle Mariners during the weekend. Regardless, the team has an opportunity to catch the Baltimore Orioles and reclaim the second place spot in the AL East and climb back in to contention for a wild card spot with a crucial series against the Orioles beginning on Tuesday.
In game one, the Rays will rely on Jeremy Hellickson to get himself and the team back on track. Hellickson's last win came on May 16 when he earned his fourth victory and held on to an undefeated record. He has since lost six starts, including a streak of four straight losses that was snapped in his last appearance when he didn't earn a decision.
To get his elusive fifth victory, Hellickson will have to beat Wei-Yin Chen of the Orioles who is coming off his eighth win of the year, earned on Thursday.
The first pitch at Camden Yards will be thrown at 7:05 p.m. and will be televised on MASN2 and Sun Sports.
