A seven run fourth inning from the Tampa Bay Rays put the game out of reach on Friday night for the Los Angeles Angels at Angels Stadium of Anaheim as the Rays cruised to a 12-3 victory.
B.J. Upton and Jose Molina led Tampa Bay's offensive attack as both picked up three RBI's in the ball game. Desmond Jennings, Ben Zobrist, Elliott Johnson and Ryan Roberts each registered an RBI while Sean Rodriguez picked up two, highlighting the Rays hot night at the plate.
Pitcher James Shields picked up his 11th win of the season as he pitched six complete innings and gave up seven hits and all three of the Angels earned runs.
