Rays Vs. Orioles Starting Lineups: Evan Longoria At DH

The Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles open up a crucial series on Tuesday night, as the two American League East clubs jockey for playoff position.

Both Joe Maddon and Buck Showalter have announced the starting lineups for Tuesday night's contest, and they are as follows:

Tampa Bay Rays

CF B.J. Upton
3B Jeff Keppinger
SS Ben Zobrist
DH Evan Longoria
RF Matt Joyce
LF Ben Francisco
1B Luke Scott
2B Ryan Roberts
C Jose Molina

SP Matt Moore

Baltimore Orioles

LF Nate McLouth
SS J.J. Hardy
CF Adam Jones
C Matt Wieters
1B Mark Reynolds
DH Chris Davis
RF Lew Ford
3B Manny Machado
2B Robert Andino

SP Jason Hammel

Despite this series being crucial, Evan Longoria will start at designated hitter on Tuesday night. It's unknown what day, if any, Longoria will play third base against the Orioles, but just having his bat in the lineup is what's most important.
