Rays Vs. Orioles Game Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

Just two games back of a two-way tie for first place in the American League East between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles, the Tampa Bay Rays square off against the Orioles on Wednesday night for the middle of a three-game set at 7:05 p.m. ET.

The Rays were dealt a tough 9-2 loss on Tuesday night as J.J. Hardy hit two home runs and drove in five to help down the Rays. With just 21 games remaining in each team's regular-season schedule, the mid-September meeting between the two teams will play an integral role in shaping the face of the playoff race down the stretch.

The Rays send Alex Cobb to the mound to silence an Orioles lineup that chased Tuesday's starter Matt Moore after four innings of work and three runs surrendered (two earned). The Orioles counter with Miguel Gonzalez as they look to distance themselves from the Rays in the standings.

Time and Date: September 12, 7:05 p.m.

Location: Camden Yards, Baltimore, Md.

TV: SUN (Tampa Bay), MSN2 (Baltimore), MLB.tv

Radio: WDAE (Tampa Bay), WBAL (Baltimore)
