Red Sox Vs. Rays: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The Tampa Bay Rays will take on the Boston Red Sox in the second contest of their three-game set on Tuesday night at Tropicana Field.

The Rays are desperate for wins, trailing both the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Angels for the second and final AL wild-card spot.

Joe Maddon will turn to Jeremy Hellickson in hopes of starting a winning streak. The youngster has been excellent this season to the tune of a 3.22 ERA. In his last three starts, Hellickson has been almost untouchable, allowing just three runs over 17 innings. Amazingly, his record is 0-1 during that stretch.

Felix Doubront will be on the hill for the Red Sox. Doubront has had a rough second season with a respectable mark of 10-9 but a bloated 5.11 ERA. However, the 24-year-old did pitch well the last time he toed the rubber, giving up just two runs in 6⅓ innings against the New York Yankees.

TV: Sun Sports

Time: 7:10 p.m. ET
