The Central Florida Knights recently altered their defensive line rotation and the results so far have been good. Head coach George O'Leary said the team needed to get more speed up front, and added that he wished he'd made some of these changes sooner.
The Knights placed Thomas Niles into the starting lineup a couple of games ago, which added some versatility to the defensive line. Cam Henderson, Troy Davis, Deion Green, Victor Gray and E.J. Dunston are also part of the rotation at DL.
Central Florida's defense overcame a slow start against East Carolina last weekend to help the team to a 40-20 victory. After the Pirates had some early offensive success, the Knights' pass rush began to alter the course of the game -- UCF sacked ECU's quarterback twice and hurried him six times. The Knights have not allowed more than 21 points in either of their last two contests.
UCF hosts Southern Miss this Saturday.
