The UCF Knights will try to start a winning streak when they host Alabama State on Tuesday.
The Knights are 1-0 after a 74-56 victory over South Florida on Saturday. The Knights scored 40 first-half points to get them rolling in the right direction. Guard Isaiah Sykes was a huge factor for UCF, scoring 26 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in 38 minutes of action. The Knights also got a big game from forward Keith Clanton, who scored 16 points and had 16 rebounds.
The Hornets (0-2) enter Tuesday night's game with two losses already on their record. On Friday, Alabama State fell to Middle Tennessee State, 97-53. Things didn't get much better Sunday when No. 10 Florida beat up on the Hornets, 84-35. Guard Josh Freelove is the team's leading scorer through two games. He has averaged 12 points per game and two rebounds. Bobby Brown has chipped in 11 points per game.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m., but the game will not be televised.
