Central Florida looks to remain undefeated in Conference USA action when SMU visits BH Networks Stadium on Saturday. While the Knights are unscathed in league play, the Mustangs are still chasing for their own rights to the C-USA title with just one conference loss and undefeated UCF and Tulsa still on the schedule.
UCF is coming off a 54-17 blowout against Marshall last week. The Mustangs beat Memphis last week, 44-13. That followed their 72-42 win against Houston nine days before.
Still, SMU gives up 26.6 points a game, while the Knights average 36 points a game. UCF quarterback Blake Bortles has 1,875 passing yards for 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Last week, he hit on 15 of 21 passes for 277 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Saturday is homecoming for the Knights, making it all the more necessary to win this game. The start time is 7 p.m. ET and can be seen on CBS. The Knights are 11-point favorites to win.
