The Central Florida Knights play the Ball St. Cardinals in the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., Friday night. The Knights enter the game with an opportunity to win 10 games in a season for only the third time in school history while the Cardinals are looking for their first ever bowl game victory in their sixth attempt.
The Knights are led in this game by quarterback Blake Bortles who has thrown for 2,787 with 22 touchdowns in the Knights' run-first offense. On the other side. the Cardinals are led by quarterback Keith Wenning who has thrown for 2,878 yards and 22 touchdowns as well.
Other notable offensive players, according to Bill Connelly of SB Nation, include the Knights Latavius Murray, who scored nine touchdowns and ran for 714 yards in his last five games, excluding games against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. As for the Cardinals, Connelly highlights wide receiver Willie Snead, who has caught more than1,000 yards from Wenning this season.
