The South Florida Bulls are getting some key players back from injury after their bye week. Linebackers Reshard Cliett, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and Tashon Whitehurst, who missed last game with a knee injury, were back at practice on Sunday, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
Bulls head coach Skip Holtz was thrilled to have those players back:
"It was great to see those guys running around full speed," Holtz said. "This open date has been very good as far as getting some of the bumps and bruises, going through a long camp and then six straight weeks. Having an opportunity to get refreshed mentally and physically is a huge thing for us right now, especially with what we've been through the last four weeks."
In addition to the linebackers, safety Jon Lejiste returned to practice for the Bulls. Holtz has not spoken about any major changes to the depth chart. Those announcements may come later in the week when more things are known about who will play for the Bulls against the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday.
