Connecticut vs. South Florida 2012 preview: Bulls hope to snap 6-game losing streak

South Florida has a six-game losing streak it would like to put in the history books Saturday against UConn.

The South Florida Bulls will try to snap a six-game losing streak Saturday when they host the Connecticut Huskies.

The Bulls enter Saturday's game with a 2-6 overall record and a 0-4 record in the Big East. After winning their first two games of the season, the Bulls have dropped six in a row. South Florida is coming off a 37-36 loss to Syracuse on Saturday.

In the Bulls' current losing streak, they have lost by a total of 39 points -- which is 6.5 points per game. The Bulls have lost three games by four points or less.

UConn is 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the Big East. The Huskies are also riding a losing streak as they've lost their last three games. Two weeks ago UConn fell to Syracuse, 40-10.

Quarterback B.J. Daniels has led the Bulls this season. In eight games, Daniels has completed 55 percent of his passes for 1,876 yards. He has 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Daniels also has 411 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns this season.

UConn quarterback Chandler Whitmer has appeared in all eight games for the Huskies this season. He's completed 57 percent of his passes for 1,831 yards and seven touchdowns. He's been picked off 11 times this year.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
